The new turn array access problems

Access operation on the two-dimensional array, the existing two threads, a latch, a certain number, length. Memory process the received information put into it, take the number per traversal time. Process is as follows:
For example, a two-dimensional array a[i][j], ID number k (0=<k<=i) when a group of data arrival, is stored in the corresponding line I, just as a whole line length. When the fetch if just take this line, found that memory is operation will skip this line to the next line read, somewhat similar to the mutex. Similarly, when we read operation, save operation also skip.
In this case the how to write? Because it is a two-dimensional array, it is each line need a mutex?

The entire array set a mutex is locked, first and then to manipulate arrays, then unlock.

Don't want to bother you
Read and write threads share a lock

Write all required to acquire the lock both read and.

If the time is read, write data to come outside, how to do? The two-dimensional array write data through the serial port to receive, because the data is real-time arrival is uncertain, every second time, don't know when I'll finish, a second to data may be 1 to 8 lines are all there, next to may be only 1, 3, 5, line 7. So the operation only by the bank to operate

Serial data to which a row of data I store the corresponding to one line, read the words I traversal operation on the line.

Handle serial protocol with the general Ring Buffer better, reference .

It seems not so complex, may have dozens of sets of data, each set of data in a fixed length, for example, each group of ten data. Then came a few sets of data to the several groups of data update, when the group data update or access, the set of data may not be accessible to other threads. Read the time to traverse the array, as long as it's not even a row of data is being updated, you can access
