Not bad, RAID 5 two.
raid 10, If the two blocks in the same mirror, also.
So be replaced soon the new site
The production environment should keep one or two block disk when hotspare

The RAID must do monitoring, find any piece of hard disk is damaged should be replaced immediately, this is the basic principle. Data is priceless.

I think this 2 floor had a point.

Each raid has the maximum allowable damaged disk limit, with the purpose of hotspare is the result of a damaged disk within a limited quantity, can automatically replace
RAID5 only bad of a hard drive, 2 block damage is not

Does the raid 10 two blocks in the same mirror, also. This can explain it in detail? It is concerned about.

RAID10 is the first RAID-1, then do raid-0
Suppose you have 8 pieces of hard disk
1,2 RAID-1 A mirror
3,4 RAID-1 B mirror
5,6 RAID-1 C mirror
7,8 RAID-1 D mirror

And then the A B C D raid-0 stripe

In raid-0, a disk bad the entire raid will be broken
If 1,2 breaks down, the mirror A bad, ABCD raid-0 of course, can not be used

A figure may be more clear
