If the wireless network card has not been identified in trouble
First try
sudo ifconfig wlan0 up

It seems your card will not be kernel support.

dmesg|grep 80211

To see if there is no frimware not found such that. If there is, that your kernel does not support your card.

Lspci -v, the wireless network card that stick out have a look.
